Skydude Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 Just HOW LONG is that thing ?? You're lucky you buggy on such a large area I think you'd have to do a 3point turn where we buggy. Quote
Dechoff Posted February 1, 2004 Author Report Posted February 1, 2004 Its 1.90m from rear axle to front axle (This can be extended by 10cm by moving the front axle fwd). Real axle is 1.5m, excluding the wheels. If you look carefully you'll see that in the first couple of pictures it was 200mm longer on the rear side frames, but we decided this was a bit extreme so cropped a bit out. atb Paul Quote
kitebuggykev1599968598 Posted February 1, 2004 Report Posted February 1, 2004 Thats a buggy for giants ;-) Quote
8015 Posted February 1, 2004 Report Posted February 1, 2004 Partly due to optical illusion I think! The seat is way further forward than on many buggies making the rear end look even longer than it really is, I doubt if it's actually more than a couple of inches longer than anything else at hoylake (in the after 200mm was taken off pics) It is however one fantastically built buggy, assuming you will be at the supercup I think I'll need to take a closer look! I discussed with Flydad a while back the fact that to steer I would need the seat fairly well forward (I'm under 6') and if this would give any problems, because it seems to me that with 2/3 of the wheels at the back the CG of the buggy should probably be around 2/3 to the back. Let me know if you find the rear end slides to easily We never quite decided how far forward you could get away with before a problem would manifest. JIM Quote
