Any opinions ?

I've got a 2.0 and a 4.9, and am looking for a larger Blade II to use in the summer. I think the 6.4 would be too close to the 4.9, so that leaves the 7.8 and the 9.0.

Any reason to prefer one over the other ?

7.8 :)

A ( m woudl leave a bit of a gap in your wind range also it is quite slow, nice kite but slow. You may find that you would be able to get just as much out of a 7.8 because you can work it better any way?

I'd definitely go along with the recommendations of a big Blade 3 rather than a big Blade 2. I'd say the 8.5 as well. Turns and moves way faster than a 7.8, and lifts more (when moving) than a 9.0.

EDIT : And if you do opt for a Blade 2, it might be worth considering the VPS system, as it gives them a slightly bigger wind-range and does improve performance.

I agree a blade III 8.5 they are a wicked low wind kite.

The 7.8 Blade II with or without vps is also a good choice slower than the 8.5 but it still has loads of pull and lift in the right conditions.

PS. I have a Blade II 7.8 for sale Nearly new (still crispy) also a brand new still in original wrappings vps kit and bar. will possibly split. looking for about £330 for both including uk p&p

Thanks all, I went for the BII 7.8m and although I've only had the conditions to fly it once, it's a superb piece of kit. Slow-ish, but boy does it pull :). Haven't fitted the VPS yet, currently it's on a bar/crossover.

(It's also the sunniest, yellowest kite I've seen, altho' I'd imagine one of those 12m Frenzys might beat it in that category !)
