Ive only just changed over to bars since i bought a 15m cabrinha C02 to start kitesurfing, i found the change a bit wierd cos id never used a harness etc but now id never go back! I use the bar with a bullet 4.5 now and the difference is amazing, i find i can ride in alot stronger winds now which is great for big air!

I prefer handles for buggying as they allow better control but I prefer a bar for Landboarding for airs and harnessing

So what sort of safety have you got fitted?[

How can you have back lines if on a 2 line set up?

Just asking as some home made 2 line safety systems do not work that great as if attached to one leader as in a 2 line LEI, you will still have half teh kit powered up due to teh brideling?

Could someone please tell me if you can do a 3/4-line setup with a flexi bullet? I bought my Bullet 4.5 on handles a while back, but have contemplated switching to a bar for boarding purposes ever since. (Also am planning to get a harness, which I'll use on the stronger days and with my next, bigger kite.)

Does it matter what make/type of bar I buy? I mean, do I have to get a flexifoil bar to go with the bullet? And if I did, would it work with a kite like the Little Devil (which I'm thinking about as my next purpose)??

Thanks for help, guys!

When i said i use 2 line i meant that i dont use a cross over kit, i just fly on the front lines with the back lines really loose and attatched to my harness via a saftey leash so if i drop the bar / need to let go for what ever reason then i dont lose the kite and it depowers straight away. This works on the bullet no problem.

icanfly: I guess what I'm wondering is, can you get cross-over kits for Bullets then? And if I'm thinking of buying a second, more powerful kite in the future, would I be able to use the bar I buy for a bullet with it??

Cheers

what????????? i have the two main lines, and a kite killer atached to a line which links the two main lines, when i let go of the bar one of the main lines effectively breaks in half and there is no power what so ever, its v good. its a wipika kite surf bar.

i have one for sale for £40-50 ono, pm me

yes it is correct that goshen does use handles, and we all know how good he is, i prefere handles to race with because u have more controll with the kite and when jumping you can send the kite back quicker and bring it back with more precision, i use arcs and naturally i have to use a bar but they are so fast as it is there isnt any need for any thing else,

For the guy asking about a bar for the bullet you can purchace a bar for them all it does it attach your front lines to the out side for the bar and the rear lines to the middle via a short leader you want them so that they are just slack, i dont use my bar untill the kite is really starting to power up this is because it really needs the breaks to work, i might also suggest using a pully for the rear lines, have been meaning to try that with my bullet.
