i know that there has been alot of disscussion about the G-arc but i have sifted through the old threads but i still have a question.

What is the wind range for the 10,13,15,and 18?

What is the turning like on all the models?

thanks Chris

10 - force 5/6.5

13 - force 4.5/5.5

15 - force 4/5

18 - force 3/4.5

all turn quickly and accurately in the right wind conditions, they turn even faster when slightly over-powered

If you use the 18 in the lowest wind range it will turn very slowly and give you one hell of a workout.

I have based the figures above on my weight (85kg's) and the wind speed I have used them in, the figures may be way off if you weigh more or weigh less.

De powered they are slow but power them up and they move alot quicker. I know they arn`t the fastest kite in the world but they are so versatile cause of the wind range. I went for the 13m and havn`t looked back since i`m really happy with it. In all honesty you souldn`t have to water re-launch cause they are so stable, i have never crashed mine and believe me i`ve had my fare share of offs!!

I presume you're comparing it with a high AR ram air? In comparison with LEIs they arent far off at all.

They relaunch like a drowned whale. But I love those zippers man......

You shouldnt have to relaunch them?! Its almost unheard of to ditch a G, and if you know what you are doing a relaunch is as easy as an LEI, if not easier. I suggest you get more practice!

You seem to be in love with the gorilla !!!

Thanx for the advice though.

I could use a G-arc as a sleeping bag for rainy nights.

is it possible to use G-Arcs on land, i know that you cant use LEIs on land because of the tube (well you can but not advisable) does the same apply to G-Arcs or are you able to use them on land with a landboard, because i want to get into kitesurfing later on in the year and i dont want to buy 3 different kites for different things, i want to be able to use the same kite on land and water like the Flysurfers

i use mine on l;and and it`s wicked. I brought my g 13 cause i am doing the same as you, learning on land then getting into the water. I fly mine alot on land for jumping and scudding as well as on the board. If you decide to buy one you won`t be dissapionted

Thanks alot that was the same size i was thinking of getting. i was thinkin of getting an FS later on in the year after i get better at flying and boarding but the price of them are extremely expensive, especially when you gotta buy a board wetsuit and all the other stuff that comes with kitesurfin

I use my s's on land - fun but can be very scary with the sheer pull from them when you ahve less friction than in the water :D

I'll stick to the water i think. I learned with a 4 line foil and moved straight to the water.
