OwainGDWilliams Posted November 29, 2003 Report Posted November 29, 2003 Hi, I have just got a catalogue through the post from Makro....and I noticed there is a Mountain Board for sale for about £49.99 ex Vat. Do you think its worth it? Its a Exit Aviator all terrain mountain board.... Not sure if it would do for use on the beach.... Any help would be great as the offer ends next week. OGDW. Quote

Luffer Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 Dont forget Makro prices are Ex VAT, so the actual cost comes in closer to £59.00. Spec as follows Deck -91.4cm x 21.4cm x 13.5mm Canadian Maple laminate. Grip -80s full coverage grip tape. trucks - 22.9cm (9") aluminium (cast PU cushioning suspension.) (Skate style) Wheels - High impact PP spoke hub. Tyres 200mm x 50mm rubber. Bearings ABEC 5s Freeflex bindings. (these arent adjustable) Weight limit 75-100kg Searching the net shows more 'establiashed' shops charging from £85 to £99 for them, so the price seems right. Not as solid (or heavy) as my Kheo Flyer, but a third of the price! You pays your money - you takes your chance. Quote
