Mark Dewick Posted July 7, 2003 Report Posted July 7, 2003 I have just got a 4m blade3, and I want to get some lift with it. Are there any techniques I should know, as I don't want to break my neck! How the hell do you control coming down so you dont break anything? I am only 10.5 stone, so what is the maximum wind I should be flying in? Do I need a harness? I want to buy a board eventually, which one should I go for ? Take care and fly well, Mark Quote
psychotic_eddy Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 For techniques try this site you want the third blue button from the left for jumping. Kitezone As for coming down .... DON'T pull the brakes you will come down naturally. I would suggest landing with your knees slightly bent and try to land on smoothish ground. Maximum wind..... depends on your experience. If inexperienced start in light winds and build up to winds you are comfortable jumping in. You do not need a harness to be able to jump (If I am wearing a harness I prefer to jump unhooked anyway) Which board? $64,000,000 question. See if you can try a few and see which you get on with. Hope this helps. Eddy Quote
