Tom183
Obviously the wider tires have an advantage on gooey wet / loose sand, but for packed surfaces do the narrow tires have more grip (i.e.: more sideforce and more total speed)? Or should I keep the wider tires on and adjust tire pressure instead?
Racinsnake2
wider tyres will still have more grip dude. Tyre pressure is the wat to go
Tom183
Higher pressure for packed and lower pressure for quicksand? Any recommendations on psi? Currently using about 13psi with Flexi wide tires (7inch wide).
MadAndy71
That should be OK but you could take it another 2-3 psi higher. Is there a pressure rating on your tyres?Remember, the harder the tyre, the harder the ride.
Racinsnake2
Yep, high pressure for hardpacked i think you could go to 20psi on the wide wheels. If its sinky sand then try anything as low as 10. 15 is usaully a good balance if the surface you buggy on is variable in hardness
