chin Posted April 19, 2003 Report Posted April 19, 2003 I'm looking for a very small kite but want good quality. I came across these, has anyone tried one and what is it like? Ta. http://www.paraventure.co.uk/ADVANCE%20QUATTRO.htm Quote
Draggin Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 If I read the page correct its a 1.6mtr foil for £155. Can't comment much about the advance as never seen or flown one The ozone little devil stunt 1.5mtr is £115 and the 2.5mtr is £145. Ozone are a good quality kite I fly the 1.5mtr and its great fun Checkout http://www.extremekiteshop.com/kites/ozonelittledevil.htm Tim Quote
Paul Smith Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 Suggest you PM mabster as he's got one:) Don't expect a quick reply cos he's probably off worrying sheep;) Failing that the build quality of the 1.4 Buster is excellent:D Paul Quote
jungletommy Posted April 21, 2003 Report Posted April 21, 2003 ive got a advance offroad 5.4 ,its ok . like my blades better though. it is a very well built kite . Quote
Roger Melly Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 I met a guy with a few Advances on Friday. He liked them. However, I didn't see that much successful flying. He seemed to struggle all day. Lent him my 1.5 Bullet and he loved it and flew along on his board. Quote
Chris-Aer Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 \Never flown a Quattro but you should have no problems with the build quality from Advance. Quote
piperbob Posted April 24, 2003 Report Posted April 24, 2003 hi there I have a Quattro and have been using it as a high wind kite during the winter with my buggie and have no problems with it. Would recommend it! It is very fast throught the air and likes to be worked. Quote
Guest the guvnor Posted April 25, 2003 Report Posted April 25, 2003 never flown that model but ive flown an advance rhea. build quality of the kite was fantastic. as a complete piece of kit i was very impressed with it. advance have a high reputation for quality kites, they sponsored the pole attempt by kite buggy. chin Posted April 25, 2003 Author Report Posted April 25, 2003 cheers for the help, Kieron (parastorm) brought one of the actual 10m rhea's from the pole attempt down the park the other day and there lovely to fly, very fast around the window for a 10m but required quite a breeze to really get going. I liked the way it stayed inflated (water kite), it made it very stable in gusty wind. How come land based kites don't have this feature? I reckon my centurys would benefit from some one way flaps to keep the air in as it only has small air inlets. Quote
