Hi,

I've just put a speedo on my Flexi Buggy, it has standard wheels,

and I have measured the circumference of the wheel as 1235mm.

Just wondering how accurate does this measurement need to be ?

How much will tyre pressure affect it ?

and

What measurements are other people are using on standard Flexi wheels ?

I recently fitted up a speedo to my flexi buggy, the measurement I came to was 1240mm, so your close to mine with 1235mm.

I would say that these figures would be accurate enough to give a genral idea of speed and distance.

That and the measurement was taken without the wheel under any pressure of me being sat in the buggy, so it may change under load, but it was close enough for me.

Hope that helps.

Just help to fit a speedo to my mate Ace's buggy took us ages to get it calibrated correctly. In the end we towed it behind my car down the road at ten mph until we got the speedo giving the correct reading. Not that I recommend doing this of course! but it seemed to take us ages and be realy fiddly trying different wheel diameters. Still find out weather we got it right when we get to wales this weekend.

Have fun
