I am in the process of deciding which university to go to, but am not sure about where there is to buggy near them. The final choices are:

a) Imperial - South Kensington, London

b) Bristol

c) Southhampton

Does anybody buggy near there or know of any buggy clubs etc.?

Or even better has anybody gone to any of these unis?

Cheers,

Bristol's got a pretty good Kite scene, 2 locations to buggy within 2 miles of the city centre (Ashton Court and the Downs) and Weston and Selsley only 45 mins away. No clubs, most people arrange to meet up on this forum.

Hi,

I go to university at Kingston and Buggy in Richmond park, I also was over in Bristol at the weekend and was using Aston, however it has a golf course on and restricts the amount of space. Both very good tho. Bristol is also a very nice City.

Hope that helps

lol, yea Bristol is a lovely city

just slightly spoilt by the muggings, crack heads, shootings and police with attitude problems

apart from that i love living here

:p

there are good places to fly/buggy like those mentioned above

Nice to see you are awake m8!

If you can get through the ghetto and the police blocks, probably see you at the weekend

;)

Meanwhile Bristol, as Si (WG)says we are pretty spoilt for good flying round here.

The Downs is in the city so easy to get to for a quickie, there are always people there

Ashton Court is now developing a healthy community most weekends and is excellent on those sunny evenings in the summer. Also on the edge of the City (5-8min drive from the Uni)

Also holds very large Kite Festival in August

Weston Super Mare - good flat beech for buggys and wind (25-35 drive)

Brean - even bigger version of WSM

Selsley - On a hill with lots of good wind - mainly from the Massive that meet there as you are bound to have seen on these posts. Excellent place for everything and about 40 minutes away.

then of course you can go across the bridge to Pendine, Barry etc etc.

We also seem to have a pretty large group of flyers in the area - often have 20+ flying at any one place so good social meets as well.

HANG ON A Minute - why am I telling you this - we will be inundated with people, run out of space, get banned, be forced onto football fields, have to sell our kites, take up knitting merkins. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On second thoughts dont go to Bristol:D :D :D

There are four or five size rugby pitches and then rougher grass around the outside, I go their quite alot, a fair amount of space. Its located on the North side of the park, can't remember which gate it is near! Hope that helps
