axelant Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 All I have is a Super 10 but I have been getting a few jumps in OK - at the weekend I probably got 2ft off the ground and travelled about 15 ft. OK, its not what you'd get from the bigger more expensive kit, but its still good fun. The lack of control makes it a bit like the difference between 45 in a go-kart compared to a car. I'm waiting for my first major crash, though. Quote

As you've all said, I travelled much further forwards than it did up. Still great fun but I found it easier to go superman style and brave out the belly flop and metres of belly scudding. Quote

axelant Posted February 6, 2003 Report Posted February 6, 2003 I was deciding whether to get another 10 and stack it. Do you think a blade would be better than 2x Super 10's then? If so what can I expect to pay for a blade? There's a lot of choice - 4 and 2 line, power control bars... I'm fairly new to power kits and am not really in it for buggying/boarding right now, what do people recommend? Quote

PTFlea Posted February 6, 2003 Report Posted February 6, 2003 4 line power kites don't have to be expensive. Firebees are cheaper than super 10s and much better. I just got a 5.5m firebee for less than a super 10 with lines and everything. You can jump, scud and buggy with them. Peter. Quote

If your just getting into this then i would reccomend the Blade II 4.9 its an awsome kite and you can get some seriouse air. Thats what I am personally into going huge on the beach. There is a ton of upward lift and in the right conditions you can get as much air as you want, you just have to be willing to fly in very high winds, probably near unsafe, but if you do you can have a ton of fun. I have gotten about 20 feet of air for about 7 seconds with the 4.9. Most fun that i have ever had. Quote
