Crash in 17- 18 m/s

Hi Guys.

 

Some weeks ago it was extreme weather at the danish coasts with winds blowing at 17-18 m/s, so I just had to go jumping at Ishoej Beach. When we arrived the wind was blowing strong, so I chose to test my BladeII 4.0 out.

When I launched it, it pulled me up in 3- 4 meters in the air, and I flew about 50 m. down the beach....Guys!!..I was litterally flying.

...anyway..I landed some 50 m. down the beach, and at that moment I was getting a little scared, because of the enormous power the kite generated, so I sat down in the hope that I would gain control, but once again I was pulled forward and up in 4 m., and started to fly over some hills behind the beach with incredible speed, and I saw that I was heading towards some small buildings behind the beach area, so I decided to let go of the handles, but I only let one go, and I was now hanging sideways in the air kinda like the superman style, so when I finally released the kite I felt down from 3 m. on my side.I got two bended/ pressed ribs and a huge pain in my ass, and a painfull lesson from that day.

Anyway..I was out jumping the next day at same location....I can´t miss a good wind like that

today i went out in really gusty conditions with my blade2 3m

one minute it was dead still then the next it was almost a howling gail.anyway got my kite up fine and i was flying happily for about 10minutes, doing so small non painfull jumps. i hooked in to my harness and a second later my head\was above the top of the rugby post i had chance to look around for a sec then a began to fall, landed hard on my left leg but amzingly nothing broken and i walked away from it.

hey m8 what happened to your kite when you let go did it blow away? did you get it back?

i didnt let go of my kite untill i landed, i fell because the wind just dropped. when i did let go i have a leash which clasped the kite. i packed up an left after that

....my kite only flew some 20 meters away from my fall, and was amazingly ready to relaunch (which i didn´t because of those f*.. ribs)....no tangled lines or any damage to the kite...I was lucky that day.....it still gives me the thrills when I think of that day....but hey...that´s why we do it right!!...to get some thrills.....

...I´m going mountainboarding on a new location tomorrow.....I´m really looking forward to surf across a nice big green field.....maybe I´ll take some pics...

I was flyin the 4.9m inaround 15-20 m/h and i was being draged blah blah and i was jumping and MY TROUSERS fell off and i got dragged for a while and this old lady almost fainted:

I was flying a Blade II 25.0 custom job in a Tornado the other day was picked up three miles - missed a 747, all my clothes fell off and landed breaking both my arms and legs.........LOL.......

I've been flying my stacker 6 for about two months now. It really pulls hard in a 10mph wind, I can barely hang on. I am getting jumps of 4 or 5 cm. It's great.

 

Do you think a 25m blade, like yours, would be too much for me at this stage. I'm a very good flyer!
