denny Posted August 3, 2014 Report Posted August 3, 2014 guy's has any one used these kites ,i bought a 12 and 9m, kites are all round great but the thing that is bugging me is the bar pressure ,it very heavy ,and after about an hour major arm pump ,and then to add insult to injury i went out on my son warro today and could see the difference straight away ,warro bar pressure mega light iv looked at all the line set ups and the cult is all as it should be my bar is an ozone with 25m lines helps please cheers Quote
broraboyan Posted August 3, 2014 Report Posted August 3, 2014 I have a 15m cult not too bad really, I have recently bought a fat lady 17m and there's bar pressure there for sure . start doing your weights I think Quote
Pippi Langsamer Posted August 4, 2014 Report Posted August 4, 2014 I've had Cults from 2009 and 2012. My 7.5m 2009 Cult is currently for sale (with the 2010 bar), and I personally never found the bar pressure hard at all- in fact, I thought they were on the light side. Quote
Blast Posted August 4, 2014 Report Posted August 4, 2014 Arn't the Cults flown normally on 20m lines, sure the early ones were. Quote
Pippi Langsamer Posted August 4, 2014 Report Posted August 4, 2014 Yep, 20m lines for kites 9m and above were supplied with 20m lines on the bar, plus the 4m extensions Quote
denny Posted August 4, 2014 Author Report Posted August 4, 2014 thanks for all your comments strange one this i read all reviews etc on these Naish cults and the bar pressure was claimed to be very light pressure ,please can some take some pictures of the the pig tails where lines attach to kite ,just in case mine a wrong (to long or to short ) ,dont think this will be the case but its doing my head in to the point yesterday i put my 9m kite on the floor and went out on my lads warro ? 20m lines or 25m lines this should not cause the bar pressure to be heavy thanks Quote
broraboyan Posted August 4, 2014 Report Posted August 4, 2014 Will try and post some pic for you tomorrow, I have flow the 15m on 27m lines and it was still light handling, the centre lines have two knots on each line at the kite, I usually used the second knot as I preffered it, the outside one has a loophttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/08/05/4a8ydevy.jpg Quote
broraboyan Posted August 10, 2014 Report Posted August 10, 2014 I just had the cult out yesterday but never had the camera to take a pic but the diagram drawing is exactly the same as what I have on my kite and when I rig it I use the second knot on the centre lines as it's bigger than the first one. Quote
denny Posted August 14, 2014 Author Report Posted August 14, 2014 thanks ,its the same set-up as mine but ,still heavy bar pressure ,i will try some more pigtails etc to see if it improves ,thanks for your help cheers Quote
denny Posted August 14, 2014 Author Report Posted August 14, 2014 hi mate ( Pippi Langsamer )how much for the 7.5 ? Quote
Pippi Langsamer Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 hi mate ( Pippi Langsamer )how much for the 7.5 ? Hey. It sold earlier this week I'm afraid. Still got a 2012 9m Park for sale inc 2012 Bar n lines. Used half-dozen times- maybe less! Quote
g0nz01599968659 Posted August 15, 2014 Report Posted August 15, 2014 I'm reasonably sure the 2010 cult didn't have a pulley on the wingtip like the diagram shows. Are the pulleys still running freely? As a solution to the bar pressure, do you have a stopper on the depower line that you can rest the bar against whilst cruising? Quote
denny Posted August 15, 2014 Author Report Posted August 15, 2014 guys please find attached doc ,iv taken pics of the line attachments and the kite attachments please can anyone who has these kites ,have a look at there's to see if there the same mine ,mine is different to the pic someone added to thread ? the line with the knot is the front line the one with out is the back line Quote
broraboyan Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 guys please find attached doc ,iv taken pics of the line attachments and the kite attachments please can anyone who has these kites ,have a look at there's to see if there the same mine ,mine is different to the pic someone added to thread ? the line with the knot is the front line the one with out is the back line The first picture with the loops and the knots, the left picture should be your knots and then the loop should go to your outside line which is on your left. Like I said before I use the big knot on the centre lines. This picture is exactly the same as what I have. Quote
kitesurfandy Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 dont like kites with the back line pulley to the front set up . just not right Quote
broraboyan Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 And you have a qualification to judge Quote
