I absolutely love flying these kites and I have a feeling I may regret selling them, but I need to fund some new depowers which suit my riding style and flying location better. Flexifoil Blade IV – 4.0 (Midnight) Price: SOLD Postage: £10 – DHL Photos (click link) >>> Blade IV 4.0 | Facebook This is the only Blade I’ve not owned from new – I got it from Rob Hills (yes, the Rob Hills) a little while back and I believe he’d hardly used it. It came to me in excellent condition. The kite is currently in good condition with no rips or repairs and the cloth is still nice & crispy. It does have a couple of ‘snag’ marks (with a couple of pin-prick holes) where the bridles caught on the cloth when it bow-tied (as shown in the pictures), but this hasn’t needed repairing (no risk of holes getting bigger or tearing) and hasn’t affected the flying at all. Other than that the cloth is in good condition and the kite flies beautifully. The lines are flexi extremes & are in excellent condition, as are the Flexi Prolink handles. There is also a Flexifoil strop attached. The bag is ‘as new’ – never used. Manual, stickers, etc, are also included. The kite is in very good condition with no rips, nicks, tears or repairs and the cloth is still crispy. There are a few light marks on the cloth (as shown in the pictures), but this doesn’t affect flight at all - it flies beautifully. This is my most flown of the Blades. The handles are Flexi prolink's. If you’ve ever used Prolinks you’ll know the 'rubber' coating does wear a bit. The ones with this 8.5 are quite worn mainly on the tops (as shown in the pictures). Can't believe the 8.5 hadn't gone yet - it's such a great low wind buggy engine & a complete joy to fly! Although I won't be too upset if there aren't any takers & I'm forced to keep it! Quote

But seriously, the 8.5 is a fantastic kite & not at all scary in the lower winds. To be honest I'm happier flying the bigger blades in lighter winds than the smaller blades in high winds - its the smaller kites that tend to spank you! Take your eye off them & they can whip across the window before you know it. Larger kites are much more forgiving! Anyway, closing ceremony bump to the top! Quote
