Kitefish Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 Travelling through Vietnam this coming easter, not taking kite kit but intend to stop off at Mui Ne beach for a few days kiting. Anybody have advice, know the best places etc. Have thought that hire prices seem high ($100/day) so anbody know of any good deals with schools/rental out fits. Are there any other kite locations up the coast heading towards Hanio. Cheers Kitefish Quote
flatfour Posted January 4, 2012 Report Posted January 4, 2012 Hi mate. Hook up with Mark or Sarah from alwayswindy.com they should be able to give you some good advice as they are out there at the moment. Quote
Richiethered Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 Hi mate. Been to Mui Ne twice. On both occasions I stayed at the Saigon Mui Ne resort. Booked it through work as I was working in Saigon at the time on trials. But really nice relaxed stay both times and only 50yds from Windchimes kite school. The owner is Vietnamese/ American and they had a good selection of nationalities working or ex pats hanging around. Owner was great and the instructors were ok as instructors and blinding as surfers. All the top viet riders work on mui ne. I paid around $70 a night but the food nearby is not bad and really cheap. U could stay at pandenus but i had no issues whatsoever and its easy to get a cab from phan Thiet if u take the train. Let me know if u need any info. Personally, I'd think about my own gear ((as I took mine 2nd time). Hire stuff is ok and that's about it. Quote
