stagecoach run a bus service with a massive picture of a wave on it with 'ride the north Devon wave' underneath yet won't allow people to take surfboards on their buses even when there is no on else on it in the depths of winter (personal experience 3 times-we wouldn't give up), but has anyone tried taking kite surfing stuff on the bus from Barnstaple that goes to all the beaches? if so was there a problem? when we went the driver shouted at my friend when he tried to bring his board on the bus, but was perfectly happy to let one of 'those little surfboards' (bodyboards) on the bus, that my other friend had, so I'm thinking that a kiteboard may be treated similarly.

Any ideas?

I don't really want to turn up at Barnstaple and not be able to get anywhere

I work for for a bus companey can't tell u which one as if I slag them of and some how thay find out I will get in s*** for it but it starts with a S and has waves on it ;) in the sothwest and we are not alowed to take surf boards as thay are to big (well I would but only if u ask nice) but you should be ok with a small kiteboard and a kite bag as it would class as hand luggage and just look at all the oldes with the shoping that take up all the room and bich about it that u just want to tell to stick it ok ok rant over. Now if u have a board in a bag and a lei in a bag that will go in the luggage rack or next to you not in the ille you should be fine if you still get them biching at you go and talk to the head boy :p
