Bex Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 Ok buggy maestro's in your opinions what would be the best starter buggy... Bout £400 or under new so thats would put P Lynn, Flexi, or Radsail in the mix. On your marks get set.. Quote
Batz Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 Screw that. Buy my Libre V-max. Lovely bug, on barrows, could have it to you by middle of next week, should be able to do it delivered for around £200. Quote
worcester kyle Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 flexi all the way simple as that! Quote
BillyTheShed Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 Screw that. Buy my Libre V-max. Lovely bug, on barrows, could have it to you by middle of next week, should be able to do it delivered for around £200. That's a great buggy to get going with, nice & stable and a good platform that will keep you going for a long time as you progress, unless you are wanting to do freestyle, in which case flexi would be the root to go. For £200 its a good deal. Quote
Batz Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 Ta pal. It's got a buggy bags bag too. And a swan neck if you want it, that'll be extra! Quote
Turbotez Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 (edited) From what my oracle tells me (you know who you are) Radsail - Cheap tat Peter Lynn - Small and horrible (i have had a go and compared to my Typhoon it is pants) Flexifoil - good, but i found them expensive Batz's V-max would be a good first bug, if i hadn't found one, i'd be buying his!! (p.s. he's from up north but don't hold that against him LOL) Edited May 18, 2011 by Turbotez Quote
flyinchef Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 Radsail avoid unless you weigh less than 8.5 stone and don't want to do anymore than go SLOWLY up and down a very smooth beach or it WILL break P/L st functional, light, uncomfy seat. P/L xr much better built, more sturdy, more comfortable seat. Flexi bomb proof, but not that comfy over a long time/ distance Libre, german engineering, nuff said. :-) apart from buy Batzs' Quote
Nick1599968727 Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 or an RS its a libre copy I have a brand new unused one ! its ready to be used as a tandem buggy and failing that be sold Quote

coupey Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 ...but don't confuse RS with Radsail buggy. Radsail buggies are v. poor. Quote
coupey Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 Buy my Peter Lynn with backrest and tandem bracket: http://forum.kitecrowd.com/sale/peter-lynn-tandem-buggy-194278.html#post2271821 Quote
Benbarden Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 If you want freestyle or think you may want to try it go fir a flex ss which you can get a wide back axel for to make better at speed but if all you are going for is speed and crusing then from what I have seen the Libre V-max are well nice will you be useing it on grass or sand if sand will it be hard or soft for hard sand or grass the barrows will be gr8but if it's soft that dig in a bit and slow you down so u would want to look at somthink with bigger wheels Quote
mikeymustard Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 You can do all sorts in a flexi bug and the "proper" ones seem to go for less than the scrap value of the stainless they're made from. Libre's (like Batz' Vmax) and RS - especially in wide axle form - are brilliant for learning cos you quickly feel completely safe from OBE's. Radsails will not stand up to any sustained use whatsoever. Peter Lynns are (IMO) too expensive new, but worth a punt secondhand if you're not too big; flyinchef's observations are worth noting re: ST and XR Quote
Beancapooer Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 Libre. Definately. No comparison. Although there's a super truck on eBay starting two fifty. If cruising is your thing you ll never have to upgrade again. Plus there over a grand new Quote
casey Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 Don't mix up the PLs - avoid the Comp! Its a cheap entry buggy & you get what you pay for. The XR is en par with the SS Flexi & can modded just the same if you were to develop that way. Quote
