It's a nice 14 knot wind blowing from the North right now but just too hot outside around at least 32 Celsius in the shade with humidity around 40-50%, obviously much more under direct sunlight. Should I just man up and go, or is there really a danger of me getting a heat stroke?

What is the hottest weather you kited in?

Took my blurr out in the Moroccan Sahara - temps must have been similar (didn't have a thermometer, but 100F is the rolling average).

Managed about an hour, but it was the most fun I had all holiday (dune jumping is awesome). Had factor '50+' suncream (mud), and drank about 2 litres of water. Any more time, and I think I'd have probably got heatstroke, but it was actually a freak rainstorm that blew in and stopped me!

As long as you don't stay out for hours, it seems criminal to waste good wind.

Yeah, i found that water can keep you going. Once I unpack i put on the kite backpack on, and have 1L bottle in the side pocket, and another bottle waiting for me in the car. Sounds like good practice to me :)

Loads of water needed, wet the padding in your lid too! I carry 4 litres with me. Just cheap stuff in plastic bottles, when I'm boarding leave them next to my stake under a clost, usually they get warm, but it's still wet. When I'm in the buggy they go in my buggy bag!
