the_lone_wolf Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 Remember if, no wait when, it turns inside out and continues to fly you have to spin the bar 180deg or left and right steering is reversed Quote
flysurfer1080 Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 (edited) See if you can meet up with some flyers around you area 1st, as 90% of kiters would know how to set up a lynn, even a retro one. If you can't find anyone just check out carl the bullets set up video on youtube, it's so much better than the PL video thing. As Capt. Caveman said, "make sure it's fully inflated before launch" & always check everything 1st before launch, i.e. make sure the safety is working & goes back together & have a extra pair of hands with you as it's always good for 1st time on new kite, as you don't know what might go wrong, but besides all that, have fun mate. pieface Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 1.Roll kite downwind 2. close deflate zipper and open inflate, stand there holding zip open until inflated. 3. Close inflate zipper. 4. Lay out lines upwind at a 60 degree angle away from the kite. 5. Walk through lines to ensure they detangle (remember red lines left, grey on the right) 6. Attach leading lines first (top pigtails) 7. Attach back lines 8. Hook up to your harness ensure the sheeting is all the way in (zero power) 9. Walk back and put a little tension in the lines, then pull the leading line furthest away at the top end of the kite and the kite should start to curl up and slowly launch as you walk back. That's the set up and launch procedure in a nut shell, now here's step 10 Whack up the power, jump on a board and get some air!!! Hope this helped a little, have fun and stay safe! Quote
