Haven't flown there but we rode motorcycles through the country in April, July will be extremely hot, it was 30-40deg in Zagora when we were there

We were mainly in the mountains so expect city accommodation to the dearer, generally we paid about 250MAD for a night, that usually included dinner and breakfast

~12MAD = 1GBP

Unless you want to get outside the city you probably won't need a car, and driving in Moroccan cities is an experience in itself

Some areas can be very touristy, expect to be hassled by people saying "you eat here" or "you stay at my cousin's hotel tonight" etc etc.

We didn't have any females in our party but you may find some uncouth behavior from the locals towards your wife, in the south it might be advisable to wear less revealing clothes, keep shoulders and upper arms/legs covered even if it's just a light thing, as it's more traditional than the north

EVERYTHING can be haggled for, but nothing is ever free, the locals won't just do you a favour without expecting something in return, usually cash

Morocco was an excellent experience for us, would definitely go again, you'll have a great time

Stayed in Marrakech around jan a few years ago. Morrocos an amazing place. We did a day trip to essawhatver n the beach was ok, day I was there it was offshore, light and no waves but it wasn't the windy season. Essawhatver seemed quiet but nice, dunno if I could stick a full week there. If you fancy getting a car drive over to Marrakech n stay a few days there, it's mental. We stayed in riad tammou, was amazing and cheap. Had the place to ourselves, our own servants n chef was top. Might be a good place to go if you move about a bit like a road trip here n there.
