The Flyin Scotsman Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 Thanks guy's Anyone know a good way to melt the clear p tex without getting all the carbon crap in it. (i dont have a glue gun before you say) Have a search on 'how to repair a snowboard' or 'p tex a snowboard' etc. on youtube, I beleive the general idea is to get the heat evenly over one end of the rod with a blowtorch, then once its burning of its own accord keep rotating it and hold it at the correct angle (can't remember what the exact angle is, but the videos tell you, lol) if the angle is wrong it'll burn too cold/hot and produce the carbon, so experiment with the angle until it doesnt smoke or drip the carbon... Hope that helps, Kev Quote
