zimmer Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 I have mentioned ffmpeg before but people just look and think "omfg!!! I have to type stuff out, no way" This really is a no brainer, you just need to download ffmpeg for your particlar OS (all the links are there) then select some options, copy and paste the output and that's it. >HERE I hope this helps someone. ps:You are not restricted to the output formats listed. Birdman Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 Hey thats smart, love ffmpeg, but hate all the options. I tend to cheat with winff and then copy the cmd line. Feels better on the command line :-) Quote
zimmer Posted January 16, 2010 Author Report Posted January 16, 2010 Yes, it is rather good. I do believe there is a front end for ffmpeg but I've never used it. That site will save a lot of time. Oh, forgot to mention that it's all free. Quote
Sand-Yeti Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 I've no idea what this is. I have a cam that records vids with .MOV extension but need to convert it so that I can edit on Windows Movie Maker. Is ffmpeg something that helps me do this? Quote
zimmer Posted January 16, 2010 Author Report Posted January 16, 2010 (edited) It most certainly will Mr yeti. Even if you just install ffmpeg from the site using the link provided, then use google to find some conversion options, i'm sure you'll suss it out. If you get stuck pm me and Let me know what you want your .mov converted to and I'm sure I can help out Edited January 17, 2010 by zimmer Dave goes to hollywood Quote
