You wont break a trampa...

14ply is suggested for anyone 11-15 stone, you still wont break it... probably just bottom it out if youre getting any air.

They may do a 16ply one, send Trampa an email... cant recommend these boards enough!

Some more options:

I weigh a little above 16 stone and have an MBS Comp 95 and this feels very stiff/secure so it might work for you as well.

Scrub boards have a sticker that states that the board can be used until 115kg (so 18 stone, almost there).

Trampa 17 ply will hold you surely and 16 ply will be okay for cruising I guess.

For trucks I would suggest channel type trucks (or Revo's if you can find them).

I've seen a nice board for sale here in the Netherlands: http://link.marktplaats.nl/288387217

Anyway, if you get really fanatic with kiting you will loose weight surely. It's a good exercise!

I have an old scrub board with channel trucks and I am 6' and 18+ stone !

Board takes the weight but make sure that the tyre pressures are about 40 psi

Turf surfin is way better than beaches when your a fat git as the surface is more stable that (MOST) beaches.

Give it a go, wear the safety gear and laugh loads !!!!!!!

Go Trampa, but then I use them for my school so would say that.

I always recommend going one ply higher than they state on their web site. Im 11.5st and use a cut down 15ply and used to have a 16ply cut down.

For your weight I would say a 15-16ply kite deck, 35deg tips with channel trucks and that will set you up a treat. If you was taller I would say go for a long deck but at your hight you can get away with a slightly shorter board but the longer one will give you more stability and as you will be mainly using it at capstone then get some 9 inch tyres as they will help roll over the ruff patch's and get you moving easier in general.
