Just joined and here seemed like the best place to start!

Bristol based landboarder, originally from South Wales. Usually fly at Weston and Saunton Sands... and Brean when its finally open again!

Been flying for a fair few years and boarding for maybe 1 year.

Should be off to the Snowkite Masters in Jan, avid snowboarder so cant wait to mix the two together!

So yeah... erm, hey! :D

Think I might head to Saunton, winds looking 8mph easterly... which probably means more like 10-15. At leas it hope it does :p

Not long till Brean is open again!

I know theres a freestlye event on the 1st but im doing a cross country marathon thingy then. Will be heading down soon after though!

Wow, what a sociable forum.

I get two replies... from two people I already know :p

Yeah, it does indeed suck to be me ;)

yher it's not quite as welcoming as the swatk forum, lol

Wow, a spoonful of sarcasm really sets this place alight :D

Jon - Always a pleasure good sir! Always a pleasure

Tom - Fo sho, SWATK get a little dead but everyone's super friendly! :p

Weasel - Falmouth? That's where I went to uni (FCA)... wish I had never left! Man I miss living by the sea... little bit more of a media industry in Bristol though, unfortunately. What you doing down there?

smithy - I have no idea.. I've met a few people about but hey, im the one with all the fur on my face... chances are you'd recognise me better than id recognise you :p Either way, once the Windzone has levelled itself back out and the oily gunk has sunk to the bottom again Im sure ill catch ya for a session! Been travelling to Saunton Sands quite a lot recently, that beach is AWESOME! Should be doing a Westward Ho mission soon with a few other guys if anyones up for that.

beth - hey hey! Thanks for the welcome :)

Zimmer - Thanks for pointing that out. Ill pop you on 'the list'

Seriously though, sleep with one eye open. Or maybe both... winking for long periods of time may damage the muscles around you eyes or at a minimum get very uncomfortable.

So erm, yeah... cheers for the welcomes guys :p

Always up for an adventure so hopefully catch people on a beach soon!

Im at uni here at the mo, Just going into my 3rd year of 3D sustainable design. Its the most wicked course ever. I get to be a product and systems designer, businessman, and hippy all at once.

What course did you do?

This place is the most amazing place to live, beaches, surfing, kiting and local music and beer. BAD ASS!!!!

Ah wicked man! Woodlane campus? I did the BA(Hons) Graphic Design, specialized in Animation / Moving image. Work as a 3D / 2D animator / motion graphics artist now.

Yeah, Falmouth was a sweet place to live, though I feel I didn't make the most of it when I was down there!

Hey, no problem. You should take a leaf out of Weasel's book. He's clearly a serial killer but he has ferret tamer as his forum title and that's enough to convince people. :D

Cool man nice job. how did you find that? Im not realy sure about finding work after i finish. I know what i want to do but dont know how to go about it. ALtho we do get a whole project devoted to just that so im not to worrie really.

The graphics course at falmouth seem to be pretty spankingly good, from an outsider point of view. well popular too. a few years back there were 94 firstyear student on that course. Madness.

Im based up at Tremough in the newish swanky design center. The facilities are pretty darn good. Just wish i had more time to makes stuff of my own.

So yeah if ur ever back up here let me know. can fly and chill.

I'm really glad that you both took my posts as intended, a bit of fun. When I say really glad I mean in a "thank fuck for that" kinda way. I'm still not sure if MuddyMrTimm was kidding or not :D

Happy kiting chaps

Weasel - My current job is what ive been working towards, always wanted to work as an animator in TV & Film graphics... only took 6 years to get there! Hah. Just gotta keep working towards what ya want to do and take any crap job ya can until you get there... did a lot of self motivated projects at home while working in a corporate studio churning out bland un-inspirational crap! Gotta keep that head up but fuuuuudge did some of them jobs do my nut in! :p What is it you want to go into when ya finish?

Yeah, the Graphics course always had about 100 people in the first year... that always gets knocked down to about 60 by the second due to drop out and people not pulling their weight. But yeah, good course.

Dont suppose you know Alan Barnes at the Tremough campus? He was my old landlord and worked up there... awesome guy! That campus was still being built when I was there... well, I think half of it was there, it might have been extended or something.

zimmer - kidding? of course not... deadly serious as always ;)

A belated Hi MrTimm from a fellow Brizztilian - Yeah I should log in more often.

As a relative newb, I started boarding this summer and can occasionally be found at Hengrove. Usually lying on the floor detached from the board with a kite on my head :o

Might bump into you some time if I ever join the club and get to a beach.

Have fun :D
