all beaches change constantly , and i reckon onshore winds (as the tide is going out) makes for a smoother /less ripperly beach. cleephorpes can be pretty good to landboard on . i've only been there once this year tho , and it was a bit seaweedy/smelly:)

yer the winds just turned so il see how it goes next few times out, didnt walk all the way out today as it was way too windy so could be flatter where a few other boards were going up and down

If onshore at cleggy there is usually a nice hard strip just past the mudbanks running the length of the beach. Tis a bit smaller a t the moment but it'll change again no doubt. A favourable spring tide might see it right.

Mablethorpe has lots of space now that the holiday season has finished and it's not dotted with picnics and cricket pitches, although can be very soft in places, with strips of hard sand running along the beach for the mile or so between the town and the north entrace at the seal sanctuary (which is where most kiters set up)
