Yep they do! I've given it a go (back)

Would recommend using a more floaty kite than a 4.9m Blade, something with a larger canopy, but if that's all you have got then meh can't stop you.

Should be proficient in getting decent air every single time, worst thing you can do is be a bit iffy with the jumps and be left in the should i/shouldn't I situation (as the answer is always shouldn't by the time you make your decision and you will hit your head (i.e. helmet! lol)

Just need to commit, it's easier than doing a backflip as you are holding onto the handles (more like flopping over on the monkey bars)

Commitment to the trick is key, then they are very cool and you can start adding style and doing them off dunes ;)

If you mean through the handles yeah I have done it, scary at first but backflips are easier even though it looks worser than a front flip, make sure you have float and jump backwards like a backwards gamboll. Prepare for a lot of pain on your biceps dempending on how flexible you are. The only really good bit of good advise I can give is make sure you are 100% confident to do it.

hope this helps:rolleyes:

don't listen do gibby :/ like everyone else said, you just ave to be detirmined to do it, because you can't get halfway and think sh*t what am i doing coz you'll just collapse on your head :(

i'm sure that it would help if you can do it on a trampoline or seomthing first, just so you know what it feels like to actualy go backwards :D

just find some videos of other people doing them... Analyis what they are doing... then visualise yourself doing them i.e what it would look like from your eye's and what it would look like from a 3rd person watching you...

Then go out and do them get padded up, commit, and hey presto!

Frontflips don't really work on quad handles - your shoulders open out too much - you can do tiny standing fronts but the moment there is any power in the kite it'll tear your arms out.

Backflips - try it in lightish wind - when you're doing nice floaty controlled jumps. When you feel yourself have a nice stable take off tuck up and pull the handles to either side of your waist a split second later throw your head straight back whilst staying tucked up. really swing your legs up and through and untuck to spot your landing.

Keep small through the flip and don't let go of the kite halfway through.

Hi all

was down the beach a couple of days ago and the wind wasnt storng enough to kitesurf so i thought i would try back flipping on the blade.

the first time i landed on my knees but the rest of the time i landed them fine, i found them easier than 360s (as your not disorientated ). the only annoying thing is that you have to untwist the lines.

thanks for all the advice
