Jason Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 New from PKD is the Buster Soulfly. The Buster Soulfly is said to offer the performance of the Brooza matched with the ease of use of the Buster. Coming from the same bloodlines as the race winning Combat and Century range there is no doubt this kite will be a strong performer. It will be available in the usual array of sizes and will come RTF with lines/handles & accessories. The full range should be available through Briskites by October. Quote
Goz Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 The Buster gets a well deserved facelift and update. I see they have crossed over the 3 centre A,B and C bridles something a bit different over the previous versions, and they seemed to have formed the closures on the cells by overlapping the bottom and top skins. BGKD Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 The full range should be available through Briskites by August. Will it really take a year before this gets downunder, or is that a typo. It looks like this kite is only available in 4 sizes from 1.5m through 4.4m, is the higher sizes to be anounced later, or have they decided that there is little call for a beginner kite after 4.4m Quote
Jason Posted September 13, 2010 Author Report Posted September 13, 2010 Of course, it's a slow boat from China They should be here by early October this year. Not sure on the sizes yet but they usually release the larger sizes later. I tend to agree though and prefer not to use low-mid aspect kites in larger sizes. Quote

That original pic was a prototype Goz. Pics of production models show a different bridle. Quote
Jason Posted September 23, 2010 Author Report Posted September 23, 2010 Kite details and prices are up on the Briskites website now - http://www.briskites.com.au/index.php?l=product_detail&p=708 Kites should be leaving Germany in the next few days. Quote
bigjab Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 Hi guys I have one of the first 4.0 Busters and are looking to get into buggying with it. I'm wondering if the design has changed alot over the years. Cheers Quote
Jason Posted September 25, 2010 Author Report Posted September 25, 2010 Yes it has changed quite a bit but that doesn't mean your Buster 1 isn't any good. They have been a go to kite for learners-intermediates for years now. If yours has had a lot of flying hours it may need a bridle tweak though as the original bridles weren't quite as good as the current ones. Jas Quote
