David M Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 Hey guys, does anyone know where I can buy sleeving to make up my own lines Quote
matzelkite Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 I have two places that I recommend - try Jason at Briskites or go to midwest kites in Iowa [uS ] you can buy as many metre's as you like and they sell the tool to make sleeving easy. Lyn and Richard are nice but expect about a two weeks for delivery and they are extremely fair with postage. Cheers Keith Quote
Alex R Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 Kitepower also list sleeving kits, I bought mine at the Geelong shop. Here's the link to the website item. http://www.kitepower.com.au/catalog/pro ... t_282.html Quote
David M Posted July 24, 2010 Author Report Posted July 24, 2010 Thanks guys,I'm after lengths of sleeving not just a kit to make up 4 lines. As for the tool you can use guitar strings or florist wire,so I'm told at the Rev forum. Quote
Steve Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 Hi David We sell hollow braided dacron by the M, just call the shop and order some as for Steve or Peace 95296894 Quote
David M Posted July 25, 2010 Author Report Posted July 25, 2010 Thanks Steve,do you also sell spectra line ? Can I order fron your Sydney shop ? Quote
Steve Posted July 25, 2010 Report Posted July 25, 2010 Yes we do sell a large variety of Spectra line. We sell a lot of different sizes and lengths in made up sets too. Call and discuss your needs Quote
matzelkite Posted July 25, 2010 Report Posted July 25, 2010 You can buy blue line for about 70 cents for 10 feet or a line set for about 8 dollars [ US ], I have been testing many line sets for about twelve months and for the money and quality of build the blue line is great. Don,t expect it to last as long as the euro lines but value for money over twelve months the blue line wins in my opinion. Midwest is a value for money if you buy in bulk, allowing for postage, but sorry Australia kite suppliers don't supply goods at a reasonable price except for Briskites- not bias to Briskites and I buy kites from all over the world and at the higher end it's all about choice. Cheers Keith Quote
David M Posted July 25, 2010 Author Report Posted July 25, 2010 Thanks Matzelkite I was looking at Midwest and they look ok.I bought my kite from Briskites and they have been more than helpful Quote
