mattys Posted October 2, 2006 Author Report Posted October 2, 2006 based in sydney I am wanting to get into kitesufing - as have found that windsurfing here is just too much of a sh#t fight. Not sure the best way to go about it as have had mixed feedback towards learning through a training kite or just by jumping into the deep end. Any advice would be great. Quote

So don't buy a trainer kite, hire a kite I think Kitepower have something like that going, and if you are in Sydney then pay them a visit. Probably worth an ask that if you hire a trainer kite, on returning it, can they deduct the hiring fee from the cost of your kite purchase ? Not sure if they would or wouldn't do that, but it is worth an ask. Regards, Joel Quote
Baggsy Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 if you are going into kitesurfing , just go straight to lessons if you can... it will be cheaper in the long run ....if you don't like it, no real loss. check out the kite surfing chat sites (seabreeze.com).. but if you just want to fly kites then there is plenty of people here wiling to help. might be able to score a flight with someone in sydney ....
