and I now use Durasurf on mine as it protects the carbon base.

 

Have a few metres left if anyone wants to try and retro fit some.

Yes, it has good abrasion and wear properties at the expense of a bit more weight.

Nothing will protect base from massive impacts but it copes well with slides as it has low friction properties similar to PTFE.

 

It has to be treated on one side so that it bonds with epoxy and its almost impossible to sand it down, (so its good for run ups onto the beach or shingle)

 

The DuraSurf base below on the right has been misused for about 2 years and whilst it shows scratches, there is no penetration to the carbon beneath.

Your not gonna pussy out of some kicker and slider action becuase you might damage your ickel boardy wardy....:D

 

Before we even get talking about kicker/slider sessions we need to book some flights so get drinking lots and lots of milk!!!

Yeh, the 09 Liquid Force range has a board with a slider proof base.

 

Like my man Jordan says above, it's called the Concept Grind and is designed to be super duper tough.
