cassiewoofer Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 realizing it was Sparhawk's birthday and that he's a scorpio like me, i just thought it might be interesting with such a big sample to see if there's anything in this horrorscope malarky. So what star sign are you? Quote

So what star sign are you? And you wonder why people might get confused and think you are a female kiter? Quote
cassiewoofer Posted November 6, 2008 Author Report Posted November 6, 2008 Who's that then?\ anyway, even though I'm a scientist I do think there's something in it! The detail I'm not sure about but if you think that your first month outside the womb, if it's cold december and your dad's getting in wet and miserable, or your mum just hates the short nights it might result in a different personality than someone who's born mid summer. So I'm predicting that (if everyone votes that is) we won't get an even spread across the signs, there might be certain signs that are into sports like kiting. Quote
MatJ Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 Pisces the fish. I used to be a county standard swimmer... Quote
windy Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 Pisces the fish. I used to be a county standard swimmer... I'm a pisces, too, and i like spending hours in the bath. How spooky, all this astrology **** must be true then. lol. Quote
Dan Masochist Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 I switch between a virgo and libra, depends on which horoscope im reading as my bday is 23rd september but mostly im virgo. Horoscope is some smelly bs! Quote
eifion Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 I used to write horoscopes for a magazine. One month I gave everyone the exact same horoscope. Hardly anyone noticed.... Quote
Steve1599968621 Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 It might have been better Cassie to make it a public poll, then you could see who was what then and if their personalities fitted their star sign. Which they wouldn't cos it's total bull****. Eifion - I had a mate who used to write horoscopes too for a magazine, and he used to do similar things. One month he gave everyone really really specific predictions in minute detail. Oh, Capricorn by the way. Quote
Nemo Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 Apparantly I'm a gemini. What does that mean then? Quote
Steve1599968621 Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 It means your an accident prone spaz. I wouldn't take any notice though because apparently Capricorns are hard working and conscientious. I think I was a Gemini. Quote
Nemo Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 It means your an accident prone spaz. And there's me been thinking that all this horoscope stuff was nonsense all these years  Quote
Dodgy Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 scorpio - 28 october *grins* Lunaloco has the same birthday as me, heh! Quote
The Geoff Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 In the interest of proper scientific research Star signs are one of the few bits of bunkum that I think could have a point. Not in a predicting-what's-going-to-happen-from-the-planets nonsense, but there could definitely be effects on your personality depending on what time of the year you were born. October/November is one of the windiest times of the year, and we're so far seeing a trend to people born that time of year. Although it could be a totally different effect, for example those who are in the womb mainly through the spring/summer may have a more "sensation seeking" personality where crossing the road doesn't provide enough of a buzz, so they start playing with big kites Quite interesting, if a slightly small sample Quote

eifion Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 I used to write horoscopes for a magazine. One month I gave everyone the exact same horoscope. Hardly anyone noticed.... I don't believe you! which magazine and what readership. It was a Welsh language learner's magazine, very small readership. I think I was valued more for my translating skills than any astrological or mystic ability! Quote
cassiewoofer Posted November 6, 2008 Author Report Posted November 6, 2008 OK the thing is I think most people read two signs, their own and that of their partner, and if you made them all the same I'm sure everyone would notice! Quote
