Video for this is amazing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuK2A1ZqoWs and Got The Flobots album a while back on import - it's well worth it; you can get it through Amazon. When 'Handlebars' finally comes out as a single in a few weeks time, it's gonna be huge. That and Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip are doing it for me still at the moment. Quote
Nemo Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 Not many (if any) of these are new, but the tunes I'm liking at the moment are: daft punk (harder, better, faster, stronger), massive attack (unfinished sympathy), the chemical brothers, the automatic (Steve McQueen) good ole Jimi Hendrix (atm along the watchtower), buju banton (bobby reds), munga (bad from mi born), mavado (top shotta nah miss), the verve, pendulum, prodigy, barrington levy (here I come), Uh huh her (not a love song), Damian Marley & nas (Road to Zion) Skid Row (youth gone wild), Matisyahu, Sashamon, Peter &the Pix (nevermind), the wisdom of harry (boxed), Reel big fish, Juliette & the licks, joan jett, bowling for soup, Ani Difranco, Seasick steve, kaki king (until we felt red) I guess I like a lot of stuff at the moment! :o:o Quote

U don't happen to listen to Colin Murrey on R1 do you? he has been pushing those two tunes for a while Nope not a listener - only ever heard his show once driving back late from a work thing. First saw Dan Le Sac and Pip on the TV coverage of last years Reading fest and loved what they do straight away, and Flobots was just word of mouth and reading stuff and following links and recommendations on Last.fm, Amazon and YouTube. I'm always looking out for stuff I might like - weirdly, these two are far from my typical fare; I'm usually much shoutier and noisier than that! Last.fm is ace for finding new stuff, or 'if you like that, try this' kind of help. Amazon listmania is occassionally useful, but more often than not compiled by geeky fanboys with extreme bias. Handlebars is hu-yuuuge on Youtube. 78 billion hits or something. Quote
