I've got a 9m Atom 08 and Delta 139 which have only been used a couple of times, as spent most of the winter buggying instead. Thinking about selling them to raise a bit of cash together, but just wondering what there worth in the current ecomonic climate? There hasn't been any up on ebay for a while, so just trying to gauge whether its worth keeping it for a while until the market picks up or get rid of it know. Cheers

i might be around on tuesday after work as well, maybe 4ish at porthcawl depending on wind and tide, not sure yet. How many hours either side of high tide at porthcawl cant you ride? Fairy: was that you and another guy down at coney on sat? i couldnt really tell what kite it was, they was both a dark brown or blackish colour i think, the weather was pretty bad down there! Should be around porthcawl in the next week or so, might see some of guys around.

Evening Just moved to cardiff area last weekend, and looking for where all the local people go for kitesurfing? I'm new to kitesurfing, had some lessons in aberdovey a couple of weekends ago and just brought my own kit last week (9m atom and delta 139). I've done quite a bit of land based stuff in the past so have all the kite skills, just lack any board skills! From my 2 day lessons, got to a point where i get up and ride 10m or so, then fall off again or run out of power. So just need loads of practice to stay up with falling off! Just wondering where the best places are to go and not to go, and if anyone else is in the same position as me, and want to meet up as i dont want to go out on my own! cheers

From what i have been reading the GK sonic wins hands down. Apparently the Crossbow has way to much bar pressure, this is what i have heard. howver, I havent flown either of these kites yet. I think the 8 and 14m Sonic would pretty much cover the whole windrange. Hope this is any help

I want to start kitesurfing this summer, once my exams are finished, but i only have enough money to buy one kite, and i was wondering if the Strike 2 13m with 5th line would be a good choice, because i has such a massive wind range? im hoping to find a nearly new second hand one about, but they are like gold dust at the moment

i was wondering if anyone uses balance boards to improve there board skills? If so, are they effective? Been looking around on the net, and the cheapest one i could find was £50, does anyone know of anywhere that has them cheaper, or do most people just make them out of a piece of pipe and a bit of ply cheers Blade
