As a novice quad line flyer my few excursions with a 2.5 Beamer ll had been not too good, so my wife bought for my birthday a beginner course run by Airbossworld. So on Sunday off i went to meet up with the rest of the course at their shop. Off we went to a local park with a good selection of flexifoil rage kites 2.5 upto 6 metre. We had a quick discusion about safety and then we went through unpacking a kite and other safety bits and bobs and a talk through the wind window. Then through out the day the instructor gave us different things to do i.e. figure 8, lateral flying using the brakes, reverse launching, the box etc Through out the instructor was asking questions and talking about different kites and their uses. At the end of the 6 hour couse we were shown how to pack away a kite. Overall a very very good day with plenty of things to take away and practice. I would recommend this course to any beginner as a good way into quad line flying. Also it was very relaxed and the instructor took it at your pace. Great day not laughed so much for ages. By : nula
