    HQ Beamer II

In my opinion the BeamerII is great value for money and is great fun for recreational flying, it is a good kite for beginners when initially learning to fly a kite but as I have also found it is not that good for traction use, I have found them to be unstable, they tend to luff and collapse and would make alot of people think that they were doing something wrong or will never be able to do it and may actually put alot of people off. If you want to have fun just flying, then fine, they are great for that but for traction there are much better alternatives, ok a bit more money may be but in my eyes its worth the extra few quid as kites like the Flexifoil Rage will make your learning experience faster and more fun.

    Peter Lynn Venom

Have just purchased a Peter Lynn 16m Venom II, I will let you know if any of the problems you've had have been resolved as I have only heard rave reviews on them, but I am also aware that there have been significant improvements made, one being the spars!

    Flexifoil Blade IV

Nice review mate, after flying a 4m Blade III for a couple of years I've just bought a Blade IV 6.5 and it rocks!!!
  4. I have been flying a 4m Blade III for about two years as and when I could in wind strengths varying from 5mph to 29mph (not advisable) however I did get quite alot of air that day!! This opened my eyes to the fact that a range of different sized kites would be useful so that I could fly safely in most wind conditions, not just when the conditions were right. Recently I have added two more kites to my collection a smaller 2.5m HQ Beamer II for more windy days and the truely amazing 6.5m Blade IV. So what do I think? Fantastic!!! In my opinion the Flexifoil Blade series of kites offers a great deal of scope for different activities where as some kites tend to be aimed at specific areas such as boarding or buggying. So if you want a good all round kite then this could be a good choice but beware the pull on these kites is awsome and takes no prisoners if it catches you off guard, it will quite happily rip your arms from their sockets, drag you 30 feet across a field and leave you in a big sprawled out mess where you can lay to lick your wounds. Treat it with the respect that it deserves and you will reep the rewards. So you want air time do you? So far I have only flown this kite once in wind speeds ranging from 5mph gusting to 8mph. Wow I hear you cry, well yes, I thought I was going to be disapointed as well but it still managed to lift me six feet into the air but the landing was quite gentle as this is a big kite that truely wants to fly and not just pick you up and rub your face in the dirt. I am still awaiting the chance to fly it in slightly stronger winds as im sure it will prove it's self to be an expierence never to forget. Value for money? Not the cheepest of options available but I believe that you get what you pay for and I believe it is worth every penny. Well constructed with the brilliant colour coded bridles which makes it very easy to identify the right bits first time without having to sit there trying to fatherm things out wasting valuble air time. It comes nicely packaged in a really smart backpack, a choice of colours for all the different sizes not just, this size is this colour if you don't like it tough!! Whats it like to fly? Super stable, a great experience and pulls like a train. The larger the kite the slower it flys and turns as they say! Well it isn't the quickest kite in the sky but if you work it hard enough it ain't that slow. In my opinion I would say to anyone thinking of buying the new Blade IV......Just do it!! By : Chisel
