Fella, It's not that I disagree, it's that it can be addressed and sorted with a bit of accomm from both sides. The kiters are cool and we keep the place tidy. the council need to appreciate we're good tenants and not up for aggro BUT, that it isn't fair to close the beach to us and let johnny Chav race his corsa up and down the beach within inches of Kids out making sandcastles. Kitesurfers don't need lots of room la, just a place to set up, land and that. After that we can all enjoy the beach. And yes........we can all go higher then!! Ricardo

Dear All, I have been in contact with both Gill Farrell and have now been referred to Rachel Northover who is in charge of the beach and Kitezone at Ainsdale from the Coast and Countryside team. With respect to the closure, this is ONLY limited to the kitezone and so this only affects us. I went up there last night and apart from access to the zone (which is being used as a location for filming) a setup zone for the kitesurfers would be easily achieveable by moving us 100m down the beach. Ok it doesn't allow the buggys and landboards to use it but this is understandable. I've pointed out that in circumstances like this that some provision be made for us as there is no reason not to be able to accommodate us. Failing this, I shall get an idea of how many of us are being excluded from the beach for the week and then take a different tack with the council about this. The Rally drivers on the beach never get challenged and I don't want to get to the point where we all turn up and have a stand off with the police but it's about time that we sort this as these closures are getting more and more frequent. Other beaches don't face this problem and we need to ensure that we stop getting shafted. I shall keep you posted. Please bump if you agree with this.
