Hi all, long time no speak, but i have news for all!!
I have noticed over the months that a few of us rely on statistics from prestatynweather site to predict whether we are able to go playing or not, but also as you know they are inaccurate and a loada $h!te, so i personally wrote to them via e-mail and here it is........

Personally, as i need good weather predictions and wind indications I think that your site is utter ****e, as it is poorly constructed and most times i take a reading from your stats its always wrong!! It mostly indicates that the wind is blowing from the south west even sometimes when its clearly blowing head on north.
Me and my kiting friends are truly disappointed and would like to know if there is any way of improving the way you collect your data (if you can be arsed) or reposition your station to a more open ground where disruption is little often caused.

Sorry to hear of your comments about the weather site.
It's the first time in seven years I have received such a comment but to be honest in this instance you are quite correct in regard to the wind direction and therefore right to complain.
There has been a problem in recent months with the anemometer which we have recently replaced, we therefore hope it is now sorted, its currently under test for a month.
Oddly enough the original anemometers problem was found to be partly due to '****e' as you mentioned, there was a build up of bird droppings on the anemometer itself, then the cable from the roof was found to be holed. So a replacement has been made and all the cabling has been replaced, hopefully sorting out the issues you mentioned. Its all under test now, to see if everything is ok. If not we will look into moving it, however we are at the correct height and also very close to the beach too. I guess I can see you kiting on the beach quite regularly from where we are.
As I say, I am sorry you think the site is '****e' as you put it - however the problem you mention is being sorted and hopefully the data will be of use to you again very soon.
