Zippy Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 Have to agree, they are awesome kites that make flying a real pleasure. I have a 12m and it just blows me away... literally! Ooodles of pop, big floaty air, total confidence in depower range, its an awesome kite. The 12m even tought me how to jump! I couldnt quite get it on my Frenzy, but after an hour on the monkey I nailed it, went back to Frenzy and can jump that too as a result. Anyone that hasnt tried one, should! Quote

The 2008 kites will be coming out late November and will include the following changes: -An optional 2nd bridal will be available to make the kite fly more like a hybrid/C-shape. The standard bridal will be the same as this year with one change. The high wear areas of the bridal will come with a thicker replaceable spectra line. No more having to replace entire bridal pieces, only one short length of line that can be obtained from any shop. -More reinforcement in the construction of the kite. -The bar will have less bar pressure in the 2:1 setting. -There will be an optional swivel for the center line available for the bar. -Optional segmented lines will be available for the bar. Overall the 2008 Griffin will have the same great performance, range and safety as the 2007 Griffin. The greatest change is that the rider will have more flexibility and options with the kite. This will give you the performance and feel you are looking for. I thought there'd probably be plenty of places on the coast, but it's nice just to get confirmation of where you're allowed to. We probably won't end up far from Portimao. Introduced them to me fellow pals PILER>>ZIPPY>>ANDREW PETER and various others. All have enjoyed them and followed the trend with the big airs and float.Since sold them to my pals as they know how they perform.Never had a bad thing to say about them,fully enjoyed my times with them and are an easy match for anything bow shape in the market.Darren is a great guy and kitesurfwarehouse have always been very helpful.So therefore thanks for the MONKEY GRIFFIN experience and keep up the good work.
