I've got loads of kites sat about that I haven't used for months even years, and I probably won't again. But that doesn't mean they can't still be used as I used them when they were the dogs bollox - I know these kites are getting on a bit - but they can still get down with the funky **** on the water, for old skool busting out grabbed floaty airs and wave dodging. I have not used any of these kites for more than one season, so there is still plenty of life in them yet. They have all been flown and stored with care. When my 7m Ozone Instinct was away being modified, I had to use my 6.8m Airblast from 2002. It rocked now as it did then, you don't need to succumb to the hype, for a fraction of the price you can still buy into a world of fun beyond the mundane grind of daily existence... And as an added bonus you will learn how to judge the power of the wind. To within one kite size when using c kites. This is a dying skill amoungst many kiters including myself I must admit. It doesn't matter so much when you can use the same kite and board from 13kts right up to 27kts. But, narrow that down to 11kts to 17kts, and suddenly it all takes on a great importance. Stern self assurances that "If that squall comes this way, I'd better come in", and "It's likely to pick up a few knots, I'd better use the next size down" are becoming endangered in some areas where bow kites are prevalent.

These kites were quite able in their day, and remain so for getting huge airs and stonking upwind. What they don't do is depower like a bow or a hybrid. The newer styles of kites are very sought after, rarer and therefore way more expensive than classic C kites, especially older models. However, in steadyish winds, when powered, these kites epitomise the reason we all started kitesurfing. The sensations of boosting a 35ft high air during an equinox storm on a fully cranked 8m Wip, or X3 are overwhelming.

If you dare to fly one of these guys on the edge of their range and in extreme seas, you won't go home feeling empty...

Just be warned they can bite you harder than a bow kite!

Hi, I'm interested in a high wind kite please the Naish 8m x3 and possibly a bar and lines Naish 50cm bar little used. Has the kite had any repairs / bladders ok? What sort of price are you looking for ? A friends has just bought a Naish 2005 and bar for £90 so was looking for a simular offer.

I live in hertford but I am heading to cornwall on sat 8 sept for 1 week and going to perranporth / St Agnes /Watergate bay if those are close by and can give you cash if we could meet. I may be interested in some of the other bits and pieces if you just wanted to get rid of them.

What sort of price are you looking for for the kite & bar together ?

And what price are you looking for them individually.

Many Thanks

Kind Regards

Karl

Hi, I am interested in your 8m Naish and the little used 50cm Naish bar please. May I ask what condition the kite is repairs/bladders ? A friend bought a naish 2005 & bar for £90 so it got me thinking I could do with something like that. What sort of price are you looking for?

I live in Hertford, Herts, but heading to Perranporth / St agnes / watergate bay on the 8th Sept for 1 week if that any good for you and can give you cash. May even be tempted with some of the other items too.

Feel free to call me day / eve on 07903917156 (out from 6pm-9pm tonight)

PS Is parranporth any good for kitesurfing as I have been there before and was blowing cross on and kited in the area near the rocks that jut out / between the two beaches and got some weird turbulance.

Cheers

Kind Regards

I'll also be happy to offer any advice or a basic session on how to set the kites up, or meet up for a trial. I used to teach kitesurfing full time, so no problem.

Also, interestingly there has been a trend recently for these kites to be used on mountainboards. I do and it's way better than using foils - I tried a 6m foil against my 7m LEI and it SUCKED! Gusty winds are no problem, these kites steer whilst depowered.
