scud49841599968587 Posted June 27, 2007 Author Report Posted June 27, 2007 sadly im going to have to remove the 4mtr from the sale, i am not going to pretend to sell a repaired kite as new,, its off to PKD to be repaired, No i didnt crash it, and no i didnt damage it myself, so, the 4mtr is no longer for sale. I`m going to take it to the States n let some shop in Vegas use it as a demo........ £100 out of pocket, Quote
scud49841599968587 Posted June 28, 2007 Author Report Posted June 28, 2007 yep, it certainly does, its off to Roger today to get repaired,, its a pretty big gash tho, and for the life of me i dont know how it came about, someone was turning the kite over and got pulled by their kite that was still flying, and suddenly,, ,there it was,, a huge gash about foot n half long from the leading edge, think the other person must have got some part of the bridle caught and as he got pulled it tore straight down the kite,, should actually ask them to pay for it, but it was an accident. Quote
scud49841599968587 Posted June 28, 2007 Author Report Posted June 28, 2007 so,, anyway,, the 5.5 is still for sale,. I`ll leave the price at £150 buyer pays postage. Quote

scud49841599968587 Posted July 16, 2007 Author Report Posted July 16, 2007 right,,,,..... Only kite ive got left is the 4mtr that got damaged,, its away getting repaired by pkd, dont know when it`ll be back,,,... It`ll come back as good as new but obviously the repaired cell will stand out a mile cos the material is new... Now,,, i can take it to the states with me n give it away to a shop as a demo,,, OR,, i can sell it off on here........... So,, would anyone be interested in a 4mtr broo.... Properly repaired.... for .........£60 Quote
scud49841599968587 Posted July 16, 2007 Author Report Posted July 16, 2007 hell thats pansh prices.... plus it`ll p1ss all over a same sized pansh So good starter kite for a newbie.... Oh but ya can pay postage..... shouldnt be more than 8 squid....... Quote
nibbleit Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 can I have some pics please? Looks like it might be just what Im looking for. Is it for buggying only or can I use it for landboarding and general flying? Quote
scud49841599968587 Posted July 16, 2007 Author Report Posted July 16, 2007 ya can use it for most things,, very grunty kite,, about the best in the best in the range... The damage sustained to is wasnt as severe as it looked. Mainly one tear down a single cell,,, take too long to explain how it happened.. Someone was helping whilst flying,, and they got pulled away by thier kite n their buggy snagged a bridle line,, n that tore the kite,,, any way,,, ya can use it for boainbut dont expect too much lift,, unless you wanna fly it in 25+ mph wind. and for static,, yep great fun... Ive been promised it`ll come back,, as new,, but with a new cell, time n date of it coming back to me are vague atm, but if anyone wants it,, then chuck a deposit to me then its theirs......... Its either that or go give it to a yank shop for a go in a buggy on a salt flat in Vegas in september Quote

My mate was after one, he loved flying mine. Ya lucky git!! lol i could let you two fight it out with a online auction lol But i aint that cruel, plus i know a repaired kite aint worth as much as a undamaged one, Seeing as ive had no pm`s and noone has actually said YES to it,, then im afraid snowman Jock ( ) has got it,,.. first come first served and all that... Like i stated in an earlier post,,, dont know when it`ll be back,, but trust me,, it exsists and its getting fixed.... Snowman,,, keep the dosh til its back to me, as soon as ive got it i`ll send it over,, oh and i know for a fact the postage is £11.86p lol, so put that on top of the £60 n ya got a good kite for next to nothing....... the handles are in ok nick,, the neoprene might not last the year out , but the lines are sound, i made them myself and are never going to stretch........ scud49841599968587 Posted July 17, 2007 Author Report Posted July 17, 2007 darn you beat me to it snowman! My mate was after one, he loved flying mine. Ya lucky git!! lol ya know summit nudge,,, i know plenty of ppl that fly other makes and models of kites and never flown a Broo,, and the minute they do they love em.. Pity PKD dont have a better sales strategy. Cos i think that if they did the broo would deffo outsell other kites in a similar vein.. For what i do in a buggy the only better kite i can use is a race kite. These Brooza`s are definitely worth their money,, and the new ones are better than my old set as they benefit from the adjustable bridle system (PKDS) which really DOES work, it in effect turns a ,,say,, 4 mtr into a flatter aspect 3.5 mtr , or knocks the wick up a bit n turns it into a 4.5 mtr...I`ve tried it and am very pleased with the difference in pefrmance, even though the knuckle section on the bridle looks a bit "tangly" and a bit " bulky" it doesnt affect the kite at all,, .Anyway , enough of my ramblings... I am now a pkd Flier with only a buster mk 2 7 mtr to my name lol.... How the mighty fall eh pmsl Quote
