Peter Posted November 27, 2008 Report Posted November 27, 2008 the two bora's i got from andrew arrived today, i opened them up, spread them out, bugger me, if these kites have even seen daylight i'd be supprised. they are in such good condition i'd say they were brand new. Thanks joel for telling me about the post, i totally missed it, and thanks jason for your recomemndation, i know i can trust your word. if the condition of what i just received is any indication, you can buy the buggy with confidence. i am totally stoked with the condition of the two bora's, and the shape reminds me of a combat. just more open at the leading edge. thank you andrew. sluggo Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 Impressed indeed Petes , had a quick fly at Murrarie in very light winds , no more than 6 kts and the 3.8 flew like every kite should . Very responsive turns on a dime and when parked at 12 sits there waiting for the next command . Very impressed ,Can't wait to get it on a beach with a bit more bite .............. my fastest speed of 68.3 is goooooooooonnnnnnnee:yes3: Quote
Peter Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 yeah slugs, i hate to say it, but, for such an old kite, why does it belt the crap outta the combats, i've love to get hold of one of libre's new race kites. i took the 5.2 out for a dance, she loved the sub 10knts, i did some of the biggest, longest, floatiest static jumps i've ever done, was sooo nice, powerful, well behaved, and just did as it was told. trouble is i dont think we'll see them here for some time...... the buggy, well from what i've seen its not as good as the kites condition wise...... (though mimimal testing done so far) Very nice kite to fly ... very stable even on the edge ... in fact .,.. she seemed to LURVE the edge. Only in 1-2 k holes did the kite even begin to luff. I think the 3.8 will be sweet as silk in 10 - 15 and quite a treat after that. Marts Quote
