Cheers Andy,

Things are looking up ..... got me a house with lots of room for kites ... oops ... I mean Kids :D

Fug me its wet but ... lol

Great news about the house mate, I hope the weather works out for you too so you can get a kite in soon :good:

You're old Sonic and board is sure getting a good work out down here at the moment, I'm trying to get out whenever I can as daylight savings finishes in a month and then I'll be stuck to kiting once a weekend again if that :(

Sure doesn't compare to your two month kite drought though

regards

Ant

just looking at the slope of the roof and NO gutters !! must piss down :read: maybe a new sport in that on roofsurfing!! :pump:

house looks kewl tho :good:

All begins to make sense when it rains bud

I like the kite drying fans already mounted under the roof of the deck :yes3:

Looks like a nice spot to enjoy after a beer or a cup of tea after a day at work or preferably a day at the beach. :good:

I have only managed the beer after the hard days work so far .... can't wait to see the difference after a kite :D

AWERSOME MARTY THE DIGS LOOKS SWEET MATE IM JEALOUS

Well don't be a stranger :goplay:

Well done mate , good to see your all settled in . :good:

Settled in .... lol .... lets just say I have moved things from A to B but have yet to get them to CDEFGHIKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

Good to hear you're settled in Marty. Hey that roof over the balcony in the back looks like one of those Japanees kites, the ones with battens horizontal/vertical, all you need is some hefty rope, a few trucks to weigh her down and one helva wind (aka Cyclone).

Norman.

lol .... Don't think Ill be out flying the patio on the next Cyclone. Provided JSKG lets me out it will be a tube-a-thon :D

Hey Tony ... I certainly have had better months

The Alliance I have been working for has been sacked leaving me staring at the gap between my pecker and my body :dontknow:

The big wigs make the mess ... the little fellas enjoy the mud.

I have been throwing out lines left right and center with a few bites so far .... but nothing certain.

Bloody brilliant eh :diablo:

anyhew .... there's a low tipped to float by here next weekend and the tides are good. If it's windy .... I'm having a session :good:

Sounds pretty shitty mate, been there myself a couple of times, I find optimism is always a good asset during these times, life has a way of working out for the best, especially if you remain open to opportunities.

best of luck mate

Marty, not good news, bit rough after spending the time away from the fam, then after getting everyone up there with you and settled in they pull out the rug!

Like the others said, one door closes another opens and all that.

Enjoy the winds from the low, be good if you could send half of it to yeppoon for easter, Goz hasn't managed to do the right wind dance down there yet!

cheers, Evan :drinks:

Can anyone suggest a good combination of safety gear.

I fly with C quads (4.2, 6.3 and 8.5) and have a Reactor 8.3. Used when on my Peter Lynn ST comp and soon to arrive, new " Peter Lynn race buggy".

All four line stuff and as we are both getting pretty good at going fast, the loads on our arms and the duration of our rides are stating to take thier toll on our 40ish year old bodies. (My wrist and my mates elbows).

We both have our own problems in that I am a heavy set, over six foot, 117 kg gorrilla. (That could do with losing 20 kgs).

My buggy mate is almost half my size and as a result gets ejected out of the buggy to my great amusment on more occasions than he cares to remember. He's kind of stuck with my kite choice vs wind speed. (as most of the gear is mine).

Some days he has "the right stuff" and when the wind is pumping I make "lack of traction" an issue only he needs to deal with. Mind you the C Quad 8.5 in 20 plus knots very quickly made me come to terms with the kind of problems he has to overcome.

Any way, as we are yet to stap ourselves to either the buggy or use a harness attached to the kite we have to deal with considerable loads on our arms and now are at the point of either finding a way to control the kite at speed using our four line handles with a harness and "chicken hook/ plus a pully"?? or going for a bar set up and the loss of control that I beleive will be inherent in that compromise.

Barrie from StormRider in QLD suggested a "Slingshot Surefire Spreader Bar" But with what kind of combination I am not sure.

We are not really into jumping as speed is the focus for us. (And stonking power slides)!!!

Any Buggy nuts out there that have dealt with these issues ??

      All suggestions would be welcome.

      Extreme Kites Weather Forecasts
Detailed Northern Territory Wind & Weather Forecasts brought to you by Extreme Kites!

      * We have been working very hard to bring you a Weather System that is for Kiters, not Boaters, Blokarters, Pole Dancers, sorry I meant Windsurfers, etc. This is a Weather System built by kiters for kiters with one thing in mind, to tell us when it's the best time to trek out of the house and go kiting!

      * Feedback is important! We can't stress this enough, we have built what we could with four hands and a few people around the country testing it, however there's no time like the present so if you see something that looks quirky, or something you would like improved then we want to hear it! We have setup a feedback form for the weather which you can use to send your feedback to us. As there's only two of us we can't read all the forums and posts all the time, so the best way to make sure we get your feedback is to use the feedback form for the weather.

Here's a guide on how to read our Weather: How to read the Weather

Here's some links for local Northern Territory weather:
