Eddie Routledge
Here are some pictures the retaining bit is missing from the loop and the primary safety mechanism is also damaged put a picture of the kite for reference too
Barry Pardoe
How is it damaged exactly? I can't make out what the issue is from the photos. It you do need to replace the control bar then measure the width of the bar, and then most bars of the same width would normally be ok to use once they have been tweaked to set your particular kite up on them. Your best bet is to find a local who is familiar with depower kites to help you get it set up.
Eddie Routledge
The bit that holds the loop onto the belt is missing and the primary safety system seems like it is damaged we can't get it to hold all very fraid
Barry Pardoe
You can get a replacement for the bit that holds the loop on. It's know as a chicken finger or donkey dick. You can sometimes find them on eBay Just searching for 'donkey dick' will get you a lot of links that you don't want found in your browser history! If you just search eBay for 'kitesurf bar' then you'll get a lot of choices. Just measure your bar and try to get one the same length. I don't recall the Sabre being unusual in any way, so any normal bar should work ok. Here is a Flexifoil bar that might work, as long as it is a similar length, The only issue is likely to be setting it up, but this is always an issue for second hand kites. Very few of them arrive in a state when they can be flown immediately. I normally expect to give them a 'full service' before they will fly properly. But then this is the reason why they get sold in the first place. How much kiting experience do you have? And where are you located? Looks like the links didn't appear. The first was a link to an eBay sale of a donkey dick https://www.ebay.com/itm/172799837784 The other was an eBay link for a bar that might work https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266456517678
bakersdozen
It's hard to tell from your photos the exact problem. I don't know if it'll help, but here's a photo of it under load. And the first page of the manual for the bar is in the Library under the manuals section of the site; Can you show us how your putting the pin into the primary safety? Where are you located, mate? Eddie Routledge
Thanks for all your help I'll see if I can get it working and I'll buy a replacement chicken finger I'll send some pictures when I get it flying again. I think we were trying to put the pin in wrong and I have downloaded that guide you shared thanks everyone for your help. I'll let you know how I get on 🤞
