No Rosebud kite fest this year, so we could have three days hooning on the beach over Labor Day long weekend?? March 6th-8th.

Sandy Point tides are great, low tide, Saturday 12:01pm, Sunday 12:48pm, and Monday 1:39pm.

Only issue is going to be accommodation. Most places will be booked, or very pricey.

Otherwise we just wait for the weather to be right and do day trips, if it ever gets right?

Or cause some chaos and hit Dingley with a stack of wind toys one day over the long weekend?

After a fabulous time over in SA, we've both got the feel again to be back in the buggy and blofly. With the COVID situation settling here in Victoria, what about re-booting a speed week? Thoughts?

I just sent an email to the real estate agent for a house for the family, we will be there :)

So, who's thinking about heading down to Sandy Point this long weekend?

Given the current forecast, i'm heading down on Friday for low tide and stay for the day. Then I will consider going back on Monday if the forecast holds. Sat and Sun doesn't look promising with offshore winds currently predicted.

Had a great solo run today at Sandy Point. Consistent on-shore all day 15-20 knots at the start and then backed off towards the end of the session. Cloudy day, but the sun made several appearances which made it even more enjoyable. Should have enough footage to throw a cheeky edit together over the weekend.

Sorry Mark, I did t see you’re post. Looks like you had fun. What’s the camping situation down there now. The park was planning to sell off the camping area.

Hi Mez, there were few tents propped up at the Caravan park . I didn't go and have a good look, but doesn't appear to be any movement so far.

Another meet up for the Victorian Blokart Association at Waratah Bay on Saturday 5th September.
Weather permitting, we will meet up at the boat ramp, opposite the kids playground on the main road heading to the Waratah Bay Caravan Park.
There will be opportunities to have a try, participate in a friendly race and if your bringing you kite and kit, a great opportunity to put it to the test, blokart v kite buggy.
After we've exhausted ourselves, we'll all catch up for a chat over a soft drink which can be purchased through VBA (all money goes towards funding a permanent home for the VBA members)
Heres hoping to a good day's weather.
