Peter Janusz
As per title. Where to go on the northerly around Melbourne? Cheers Pete
jhn.holgate
Truganina has a small hill that works in most winds. @SoutherlyBuster Knows it better than most.
.Joel
Rosebud, has a nice grassed area along the foreshore. Bicentennial Park, kited there in a northerly a few times. Can be hit and miss, sometimes they're smooth there sometimes gusty.
SoutherlyBuster
Truganina Park used to be my stomping ground until I moved to New Zealand. Winds from any direction can work on Truganina Park, though Southerly Winds are the smoothest. Westerly and Northerlies can be very gusty so just turn up and see how you go. Late afternoon Northleries can be a treat as they have usually calmed down enough, then you can kite down hill and use the kite to haul you back up again, though take care with the trees. For Northerlies and Westerlies, best to start out with a small kite. Best to launch on the top of the hill. Say hello for me to Rick and Mick the fellows slope soaring their gliders when the Southerlies are blowing.
