  1. Flysurfer have released a new(?) control bar. The Force control bar. Heres some pics. What are people’s thoughts? Complete package Quick Release 4.0 Different colours? Short safety leash and replaceable chicken loop. Rumour is that Flysurfer are releasing an all new “Click” bar next session ?
  2. Ive owned this kite 6 months and its my first real traction kite so ill do my best to review it. THE KITE: The backpack it comes in is basic, square with a zip that goes half way round. One shoulder strap and phone pocket. It does have colour on it that matches the kite. Size wise its good with lots of extra space. The instructions leave a lot to be desired and if your a beginner like me, have no info about setting up the brake adjustment. I tend to tie up the bridle to stop it getting tangled when packed. The construction seems good for a kite of this budget (£141 inc line and handles) but as to be expected its no where near a flexifoil. The handles were supplied by the shop and are basic alli with foam grips. It seem to be pretty tough and has taken a good few knocks and even been draged along a pebble beach by my mates. Has no damage just scooped up stones. IN FLIGHT: Its very easy to launch even in light winds. It does fly in surprisingly light winds. Its fairly slow in the air and in light winds can require brake to turn but in stronger winds it turns fine. I think it generates more pull than i expected, in good clean winds it doesnt take much to get me (65k) scudding along the grass, to the point where i can't always hold it down in stronger winds. It is stable when in the air but does fly low in the sky and getting it up to the zenith can take some work. Its not as easy to fly as my friends bullet (2.5) but that could be down to it being smaller. What it Doesnt like is gusty winds, or winds off obsticles. It tends to luff and collapse, but normally falls into the powerzone and you can straighten it out when it catches the wind. Its not a problem for me as it usually falls back in the power and you can sort it out. Even when it falls out of the sky its easy to relaunch whatever way up it lands. Overall im happy with the kite, i think its excellent value for money. i have just brought a control bar so will report back with how it flys on that. By : Streetbuggy
