    Ozone Flow 4M

I bought this as a total newbie for £175 from edge power kites based in Norwich. I went in not really knowing which kite I was going to buy. The guy (sales) was really helpful and took an hour or so to show me various options available to me for my budget. When he showed me how to set up the ite I was impressed by the quality of manufacture. It felt really soild and most importantly safe. I bought the handles option and they feel really comfortable, even the leader is covered with about an inch of soft (hard wearing) neoprene which sits between your fingers when flying the kite.

    KITE PULL
I weigh 14 and a half stone and am just over 6 foot. This has not been a problem, as this kite has so far provided hours of lengthy scudding enjoyment. It pulls like a train in a resonable wind (17mph). The power area of the window hits around 30 degs off downwind and pulls all the way through in a steady controlable way. A couple of times I applied the brakes mid window and the power slacks off instantly. I also experimented with braking vertically from zenith through the centre of the window to ground (sometimes playing/holding in the centre of the window), it was really difficult on the wrists but the kite stood still mid air and felt controlled.

    JUMPING
We had a stormy day with about 25mph wind a few sundays ago. I had built confidence enough to try a few jumps with my new Flow 4m. WOW!!! After about 15mins of slowly working the kite (learning the jump procedure) I was getting airborne when only just clipping the hotspot in the wind window. A couple of times I misjudged my flight line and was sent sprawling and was dragged along the ground until the kite was at zenith. HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

    A BIT SCARY
Finally got it right though, and was performing some pretty big jumps (8ft) for a newbie. I never really put the kite into the hotspot for a full power jump, and they were all jumped whilst I was stationary, ie. no slingshots... I became nervous about the potential power in the kite (at this wind speed, It was a bit beyind me to be frank), and decided to be sensible (for today anyway) and put the kite away.

Since then I have flown it at least twice a week for a couple of hours each time, and I am really ha[[y with my purchase. I'm looking forward to another wind like the jump day, where I can push myself a little further maybe.

    I'M WELL HAPPY
The 4m is a great kite for a beginner/ntermediate kiter. It does what it says on the box, and offers a exciting, and sometimes downright scary option (based on my experience) to novice power kite wannabies.

Buy one, I've already convinced an unbeliever, Its now your turn....

I just wish to endorse the comments about Edge Kites. Again as an older first time flyer they were great in helping me to decide on a Ozone Octane 3 Meter I returned for a for a Five meter again being taken care of.

I now have a blade and various others but their help was instrumental to my enjoyment in this wild fascinating sport.

    Steve Dack,
