  1. Damn, I thought it was a new Naish foil kite.
  2. It did look well looked after. I was about to offer you something for it, but I bought a 19m instead from Denmark. Luckily I have family there. And yeah I was going to offer a lot more than $2.
  3. Nice pics, but where you kite surfing, land kiting?
  4. Someone should do a good video of landkiting at Elwood. All I have are now grey and fainted memories of my son and I giving it a go there back in 2013, with my old Montana V 12m.
  5. What wood are you using? I've built model planes in the past. I am sure I'll be able to have a crack at one myself. Thanks for sharing @socommk233
  6. Shame the guy never got around to updating the site with the Synergy measurements
  7. Care to revise that statement? Looks like PANSH have nailed it this time. I think it's time we open our minds and eyes a little more and accept that prices for most retail kites are way outside the expectations of anyone wanting to get into this sport for the first time. And all the fanbois and die-hards that have been living on a placebo effectively, will one day wake up and bring those ridiculous prices down - way down.
  8. Aparantly the purple and black wing-tip option gives you an extra 3knots of low-end wind range.
  9. I've flown the Boost v1 and v2 here in Townsville, and I have to agree with Kami. You even see the "wobble" in the promo video above! Frankly I found my old Speed 3 15m foil way more powerful and more comfortable. Shame really. Stick with foils FS.
  10. Thanks guys. Yeah it would be good for someone out there with a "working" Aurora 1 to post their bridle lengths. Oops forgot that it would be GOOD OF ME to do the same with my PL Waterfoil !!
  11. Tuning a kite is not just about making either the steering / front lines longer or shorter. I get that. But for kites that have a mixer like Flysurfer kites, is it the same principle in tuning the bridles? My Pansh is up for sale, but I flew it out of the bag last week for the first time in a year, to see if everything is ok. Alas, the leading-edge crumbled on me when the kite went to 12 o'clock. It doesn't tend to happen along the other areas of the wind-window, such as 3, 2 and 1 o'clock, but only when it's at zenith. And not all the time, sometimes. The problem I think is that when the wind dies down a little, the leading edge collapses, and doesn't hold its shape like a Flysurfer does. The kite used to fly perfectly, and I think some bridles have either shrunk or stretched. I was told that by shortening the B or C (or both), this problem tends to go away. I've not done that yet, but when I do align the bridle connecting points, they are about 2-3cm apart in this order: A is longer, followed by B and then C. What tips/advice could you give please?
  12. Wow, that 19m looks tempting. I have the Speed 4 15m deluxe and I have to say it is my favorite kite for boosting. I wonder how much air I would get with the 19m, but I am worried it will be very slow to turn once at peak height. How much of a jumper is she really?
  13. Bahaha... he wouldn't take my $2 offer. Besides, WTFWIWTKF, as I already have one !?
  14. Wow. I wish I could be there with my Waterfoil and other stuff. I never knew of this place, until you guys have been frothing about it here. But I do remember Robe back in my surfing days, and that place cops some amazing huge waves, and yeah the wind... poah... that entire coastline is like wind heaven.
  15. Hey thanks @Olof Palmolja for the line plan. I just can't be stuffed measuring mine, so I am just going to take pics. I never measured my lines when I split them into a mixer system, and with a lot of tweaking and seeing myself getting dragged over to the trees a few times, I've managed to stabalise the kite, but a sudden pull of the bar and it will still spin out of control (!!)... mine's the purple 5.6m size. Anyway... I guess now that competition has brought me out of the woodwork, I'll have to commit or else ... yikes.
  16. I too accept... what winds do you prefer me to try it on? The most I can handle is 17knots with the WF. Mind you, mine's been modded so not sure if it qualifies because quite frankly it flies pretty well now. pssst... it's why suddenly my account now magically works! Gee I wonder who could have fixed that!
  17. Alex is a great guy when you want to talk kites and the design of kites. Seriously, he knows a lot about kites, arc-kites, foils, Peter Lynns and old very old single skins. I admire him for that, and I will always keep my ears pricked for when he discusses the pros and cons of a kite BUT!!! Yeah - his alter ego and "check me... I know more than you... f you..." tone in his responses leaves a lot to be desired. Mind you, I tend to do the same... and I am my own worst enemy. But... slowwwwly I am seeing the errors of my ways. Back on topic though. Alex was in Sri Lanka, came to OZ for a while and went back to Spinoza and is now going over to South America. Where he gets the money for these trips - I have no idea. Maybe he made a fortune whilst being one of the Gladiators on TV back in the 90s? If there is one thing I would not do when I go overseas, is treat people with any ill-convinced assumptions about what the "women" there are like and his sexist "not so easy" complaining and whining. One day - he'll be pooing with a black eye. So Alex, if you're reading this - I admire your spirit, determination and passion (obsession?) over kites and anything wind powered, but as I posted on your FB posts - please man... be a gentleman and you'll find her one day.. I know you will and suddenly I know you will never be the same again.
  18. I had a feeling that same meme from Seabreeze would end up here. Now I know the alias you use there!
  19. Alex - you're awesome man, but this thread takes the cake!
