I can't see what threads are unread anymore, there's no go to first unread post button. Also in the forum index if a there's a new post in a forum it doesn't tell me (there aren't the 2 little lines next to the orange circle). Anyone having the same problem? Ian

Apparently details follow about the manlifting (or being lifted by a kite while tied by a rope to an anchor), fatality that occurred at Airlie Beach, Qld on Wednesday, September 3, at around Noon. This was one of two kite related fatalities to occur in Australia on this date. The 24 yr. old man was apparently trying to learn kiteboarding on his own using a used 11 m Liquid Force kite. He had secured himself to a football ( or soccer), goal post with a rope and was using a harness. Winds were strong at 20 to 25 kts. Hi All, Well were back from the Birdsville Track. So how did we go?? Lets see. We allowed 5 days at the track and on the first day there were very light winds to nothing in the arvo. On the second day great 10-15 knots from the ESE. We had covered 32 km on the first day and in the morning we did about another 20 then had lunch. After lunch we set off for another super run this time the wind holding close to 15 knots. Was out in front when the call came in that someone was injured and we had to stop!!!!  The injury was a broken coxyx (sp?) the bone at the base of your spine. So us out in front had to be towed back to the lunch point. T…

Check out the Videos/atb section for some nice action, or wander through the other (outdated) pages. Hope you realise what you're in for but welcome to the fold. Try http://forum.kitingaustralia.com you can poach my members. cheers
