My brother is looking at getting a new cheap buggy. He has looked around and likes the look of it. What is it like for comfort and strength. I s it worth the money or would he be better to save up to get something better? Many Thanks Ross

GT-Race is a kite buggy brand from the Netherlands that has been around for some time, many of the top 10 world speed records have also been set in GT-Race buggies. They seem to have quite a range of options, including custom cut foot-pegs, steering lock options and a range of other parts. Take a look at the GT-Race Rapide FL for example ( http://gt-race.nl/Rapide.php ). http://www.gt-race.nl

Is it a buggy? I don't know, so I'll post in here and see what response I get. I'm thinking of making one, does anyone have any suggestions, ideas or experiences of these which they'd care to share ? My current thinking is a standard barrow wheel at the front, a large ATV or Turf tyre at the back, usual headset and forks, swan neck down tube, side rails and seat pretty much as per a race buggy, with a low CofG. I'd be interested from all or any of you with thoughts and suggestions.

Hi All, This is still just sinking in for a few of us who have found out in the last hour, however it is through wet eyes that I type AndyFly passed away earlier today from a seizure. Linda will let us know over the next few days more information, and what the funeral arrangements in Canberra will be, undoubtedly there will be a number of us flying in from all over the country to pay respect to one of the greatest people this community has had the pleasure of knowing. This has come completely unexpected, this morning at 10:10am AndyFly was posting away about a great weekend kiting with his Son and a few of the boys in Canberra ( viewtopic.php?f=74&t=15374 )…

First glimpse of the new "Method" fixed bridle foil from Ozone http://www.flyozone.com/landkites/en/ne ... nes/15824# It is my understanding that this kite is to compete with the higher performance traction kites like the Blades, Reactors etc. It also has technology filtered down from their break through "bbhpp" paraglider design! http://www.flyozone.com/performance/ (without the thin carbon spars of course ) Cheers, Peace p.s. Joel, you are more than welcome to turn this into a news article if you like.

This thread is for posting and bragging about your top speeds, its been going for a while now, and Ive just foolishly taken stewardship of it The official Australia records can be seen here http://www.extremekites.com.au/knowledge/buggy/speed records_australia Rules for posting 1) all claims must include a picture of the GPS reading showing the max speed achieved 2) claims should include the following details -Kite used -Location -Buggy -Wind Speeds 3) Anyone making a claim should be aware that sometimes GPS readings are unreliable and occasionally Ghost reading can indicate speeds significantly higher that that actually achieved, its r…

The Kite Buggy Bag =============== The bag has been designed to be a snug fit, inside the rear bars, of the Vmax, Full Race and Camelion Kite Buggies. It also closley follows the profile of the Buggy so It is aesthetic to the eye. It will carry a 7m, 4m and 2.5 complete with lines and handles, with space for a water bottle and grub! There is a waterproof pocket in the bag to carry your personal belongings, as i hate leaving my wallet either on the beach in a bag, or in the car. I lost a set of keys before now and it was no joke trying to find them!!! It was then i made my first bag. If someone wants a deep bag to carry much more kit, especially with the…

Are the plastic wheels any good for buggying? Are they strong enough & will the tyre get ripped off?

OK we are pretty much sold out of all Sysmic Buggies and Wheels All we have left is 2 of the 8" Rims and some 2.5" rims left. Looks like they are clean out in Europe as well so another production run will be under way soon. For anybody considering Sysmic buggies or rims start getting your wish list ready for pre-orders soon. Jas Briskites

Looks like Craig Hansen and Gavin Mulvay are just starting a Mad Way Mongolia trip which should be a distance record if they achieve it. A 3000km unsupported kite buggy trip through Mongolia armed with the 'latest generation single skin traction kites' designed by Michel Dekker. Some appear based on the usual NPW style format and another photo I saw seemed to be similar to the Peak. Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/madwaymongolia - the photos are well worth a look through. Here's a sample: (some of these photos are of the training in NZ pre trip....)

Hi, As some of you may know i am emigrating to Sydney in November and i am looking for a small piece of information. All i need to know is what sort of car/ute do you use to transport your buggy around without dismantling it. The reason i am asking this is because my wife comes out in October and i want her to have a look around for a car for me. She will have her own car so it really doesn't matter what i have (within reason $7500). Thanks for your help. Andy P.S. I will be landing on the 19th Nov so i will be up for flying soon after.

You all wanted it so it has been sorted. A 6 hour team event. At a new event venue that could become one of the premier event beaches in the country. Ainsdale-on-Sea. Event is planned as a weekend event on the 14th and 15th of August. Teams must have 3 members all using the same race number although different buggies can be used. All normal Supercup rules and regulations apply. Details will soon be available on the Supercup website or you could mail me. Other details will follow.
